Cleared the rocks just after 6. Great seas. Ran SE and fished with the fleet for an hour or so. The radio talk was slow, just reports of fish here and there being caught. We decided to pull off and head to some better water we read on the weather charts. Ended up fish by ourselves all day, without a boat in sight or radio contact. All fish bit after lunch in deep water amid scattered weeds, ended with 2 Wahoo and 4 dolphin to 36 #, couple boneheads gave us some tight lines, and we jumped off 3 or 4 more fish. By luck we found a submerged Pallet that when we went by was loaded with huge Triple tail...we ended up hooked up with a dolphin during our pass. Never could find the pallet again even though we had hit MOB, with it being submerged we were lucky to find it the first time. We had hoped to get a shot at hooking a couple triple tail. We saw several more small triple tails hanging under Weeds. All in all fun day, left the ledge at 4 and on the trailer by 530.
