What a day! I don't think the seas can be any better, no chop and a gentle roll. There has been a lot of talk about the thermocline on the beach shutting down the bite, so we were concerned on what today would turn out like. The day started at out bait spot, only to find very scattered and small baits. Good thing the fish wanted frozen, because we only got around 4 dozen 'decent' livies. We headed out to our spot, jugged it and sent down a 'tester'...bingo 22" Snapper. We anchored up and proceed to catch 40-50 Snapper, a yummy trigger fish, several fat sea bass, lots of small grouper, andd a few sharks to boot. We managed to keep a full 5 man limit of American-Red-Snappa's and left the big boys biting. We had Dad and Ron on the boat, this was Ron's first bottom trip ever, but definetely not his last. Wed ended the day around 2 PM and had the fish clean and hands washed by 5 PM. Once again we got several freight trains, not sure what sea creature is down there, but we are feeding him weekly.
