Today we made our first fishing trip in the New Smooth C's. NOAA was calling for flat seas and they were when we left the docks, but soon after the wind picked up from the worst direction - NORTH and by the time we were 30 miles out the seas were running 3-4 feet and building. So much for flat calm. The fish cooperated for most of the day, we had several double hook ups and had a shot at a triple. Early in the day the bite came in 200-250 feet of water. Around mid-day the bite slowed, but we eventually found 2 more fish to cap off the day in 160' of water. The boat ran great and we are looking forward to getting out there again!
Here is a pic of a little birdie that hitched a ride around noon, he was so tired that he landed on my shirt. He ended up riding on the boat all day and got off when we got back to land.
Also, Baby Mack voted and she thought this Dolphin was the biggest.
