With NOAA calling for light winds and calm seas, we decided we had to fit in a fishing trip. Myself(Craig), Chris, Chad, and our Dad(Neil) decided to make a day of it on Sunday. We loaded the boat and made it to the ramp by 5:30am. The seas were right and the winds were calm. We quickly made it out past the jetties and into the open ocean. Exactly 1hr. 40mins. later we had lines in the water and were awaiting our first bite. Little did we know that today was going to be one of the busiest days we have ever had, and it wouldn't be because the fish were hungry. We were greeted by weeds, weeds, and more weeds. We did nothing but clean and clear lines all day from 130' to 650' of water. The fishing was tuff! We managed to boat 1 Dolphin and 1 Wahoo plus a release of another Dolphin to grow up a little bigger. It was a really nice day weather wise and was a very enjoyable day just being Dad and the boys. While we didn't t exactly slay them, we did manage some fresh fish for the grill, and I will take that any day of the week!
